World Meteorological Organization retires storm names Erika, Joaquin and Patricia (26/4/2016)

The World Meteorological Organization’s hurricane committee announced today it will no longer use the names Erika and Joaquin for future tropical storms or hurricanes in the Atlantic, and the name Patricia will no longer be used in the eastern North Pacific. The three storms occurred in 2015.

Lightning strikes factory in Nabha, India; 5 hurt; triggers LPG blast (21/3/2016)

Five workers were injured when a factory collapsed after it was struck by lightning at Nabha on Sunday (20th of March) morning. The lightning also triggered an LPG cylinder blast that resulted in a major fire at the building.
